Angry Jacks was born in 2006 after the "passing" of our former bulletin board hosted by someone who had grown tired of poker and didn't really want to participate anymore. Since then, the group (formerly AKAAK, or FNPC - Friday Night Poker Club) has stayed somewhat together with MANY more additions since then.

We are a burgeoning Tampa Bay area poker group full of people who not only want to have fun, but want to learn more about the game and really try to master the skill that is poker. Like any large poker group, we have a large range of skillsets that always leads to interesting table dynamics.

We NEVER rake home games and we have the ability to have 30-40 people at any one game. Blind clock is setup on a laptop, plastic cards are thrown and chips adorned with the AJ logo are shuffled. It's a killer poker experience and it's always a challenge. Cash games happen, but rarely, if ever. We are mainly playing NLHE tournaments. Occasionally we will pepper in some Omaha, but the staple is NLHE.

We play a lot of cash games at the local casino's so don't be surprised if you're a good player and someone approaches you about this site. We love to find like-minded people.
